L/Outcomes: Explain that day and night occur due to the rotation of the earth on its axis. TLS: 1. Simulation 2 Discussion ACTIVITY: 1. Teacher asks pupils on how day and night occur. 2. Teacher sets up the globe and light so they are at the same level and the light is shining on the globe. 3. Teacher tells pupils that the light represents the Sun and the globe represents the Earth. 4. Teacher ask pupils to locate the globe. Then, turn the globe so that Teacher asks pupils ‘Is it daytime or night-time in 5. Teacher ask pupils to rotate the globe counter clockwise and stop at the point where change from the light to dark occur. Teacher remains pupils to be honest in recording the observation. 6.
